“Nothing Can Save You”
You walk alone
With your head down
Holding your books close
They point and laugh at you
You stare back
Tears start to well in your eye
As you begin to walk faster
You feel hot all over
As embarrassment consumes you
You wish you were invisible
As the tears start to escape
They trickle down your face
All you want to do is escape
This place that is suppose to be safe
Who are they to judge you
Have they even said “hello” to you
Nothing can save you
From the cruelty and hostility of others
